Bug reports and Discussions live on GitHub, and posting there needs a free GitHub account; email needs nothing. Issues and Discussions are public, so never post your license key there, or anything from your journal you'd rather keep to yourself.
Support is given on a reasonable-efforts basis, with no set response time. The terms are in section 8 of the EULA.
II
A lost key
Polar, which sells the license, emailed your key when you bought it. It keeps a copy, with your receipt, in its customer portal: sign in there with the address you bought with.
Receipt & key → polar.sh/elsewaresio/portal
If the email never arrived, or you no longer have that address, write to [email protected] with your name and roughly when you bought. We keep a record of every purchase and can find yours.
Keep the key private. It is your proof of purchase, and anyone who has it can take one of your two activations.
III
A new machine
A license is active on two machines at a time. A third is refused with Device limit reached.
To move it, open Settings on the machine you're leaving (⌘, on a Mac, Ctrl+, on Windows and Linux), choose Deactivate on this device under License, then enter your key on the new machine.
If the old machine is lost, broken or wiped, release it from the Polar customer portal instead. Both activations there carry the same name, Abstractica, so to be sure you release the right one:
- On the machine you still have, if there is one, choose Deactivate on this device.
- In the portal, deactivate whatever is left: that is the missing machine.
- Enter your key again on each machine you use.
If the portal won't let you, email [email protected] and we can usually reset your activations for you.
IV
Your money back
Ask within 14 days of buying and we refund you. Email [email protected] from the address you bought with, or quote the order number on Polar's receipt. The refund goes back through Polar, which took the payment.
A refund revokes your license key, and the app returns to the free version the next time it checks the license. Nothing is deleted: every campaign stays on your machine and still opens. Starting another one needs a license again.
The terms are in section 10 of the EULA.
